Phenomena That May Challenge
the Mechanistic Paradigm

Today, most of our assumptions, concepts and theories
are based on an outdated 19th century mechanistic paradigm.

We may need to re-examine our sense of what is 'obvious', of what is 'probable', and of what is 'impossible' in the light of our new understanding of the nature of the universe.

Challenge 1

Crop Circles

On the 15th August 1980 the Wiltshire Times carried a report of three strange circular marks, each 20m in diameter, which had appeared in fields of oats near Westbury in England.

Since then there have been hundreds of similar formations - with single circles as large as 60m across and complex pictograms 150m long. Each year the formations have become more numerous, more complex, and more difficult to explain.

UFOs

The universe, and even our galaxy, contains so many stars that most would agree that the probability of other technologically capable civilizations existing is very high. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they could or would come to Earth, and even if they did that we would be able to see them or communicate with them.

Most people believe that we have a fairly good understanding of the history of the human race from the Stone Age to the present day. But there is a large body of evidence which throws considerable doubt on the generally accepted version of prehistory.

Over the last century many reputable scientists have found evidence for significant paranormal activity. This fact has been hotly denied by many groups who, for a variety of reasons, believe paranormal functioning doesn't occur.

Death is seen by many as final - by definition.

But what if the definition is wrong?

The Face on Mars

The "Face" on Mars is a rock formation on the surface of Mars resembling an enormous humanoid face staring straight up into space. It is about 2.5 km long x 2.0 km wide x 0.4 km tall and is located on a flat plain known as Cydonia Mensae in Mars' northern hemisphere.

Formations resembling a "City of Pyramids" are located nearby.
