Aboriginal Perspectives in Environmental Education We all know that Aborigines have a special relationship with the land. But what does this mean? Have you ever felt what it is like to have a special patch of land and to be its protector? Do you know what constellation is in the sky at sunrise when the red wattle blooms? Can you convey your wisdom about a place through art, symbols and story? The following activities or units are examples of the many resources available that can bring Aboriginal Perspectives to all areas of learning. These activities in particular help students experience an aboriginal perspective that deepens their relationship with the environment as well as developing an empathy with Aboriginal cultures.
