Complexity in Education: Complexity is concerned with non-linear dynamics, emergence and self-organisation. It might be defined as a formal attempt to explore how simple and sometimes non-purposive components in a system can self-organise, emerge or evolve into coherent, purposive and complex wholes. Complexity theories are being utilised in the social science in many and various ways ranging from the highly technical, philosophical, narrative and more recently the applied. Complicity is interested in publishing work from any of these approaches. |
