"The Free2be website hopes to help challenge current perceptions about what education is all about. It suggests that the old systems are no longer relevant to today's technological society and that education should increasingly be about valuing learning, thinking and feeling abilities over the simple acquisition of knowledge." |

Society for Effective Affective Learning
SEAL exists to encourage networking of individuals, teachers, and trainers interested in exploring the dynamics of learning and the continual search for more effective approaches. It focuses particularly on promoting learning strategies that recognise the importance of affective as well as cognitive approaches, right as well as left hemisphere attributes, which value people as individuals, and acknowledge various kinds of intelligence. |
In this exciting new venture, we aim to combine the best of mainstream academic and alternative experiential education by creating a cooperative learning community which balances the acquisition of intellectual knowledge and practical skills with deep personal and spiritual growth. We teach no particular worldview, and aspire to open yet discriminating exploration of any belief, value, perception or idea. |
