A woman in the final stages of a pregnancy and had begun labour. She had just had a consultation with a female obstetrician prior to delivery. However this obstetrician was not going to be present at the birth so I, as an obstetrician was to take over. I came an introduced myself and she was quite perturbed about the fact that she was not going to have " Sue " for the delivery. I tried to reassure her that I understood but that everything would be ok. She gradually accepted this situation and proceeded to move to the delivery room. She told me that her vagina was already dilated far enough to "take a lover". She then asked me for advice about another of her children who had some marks on his face, scaly marks like a rash. I felt a sense of panic. It seemed that I was not a real doctor and did not have the knowledge to answer this question. I felt a great sense of dread. Sometime later in the dream I was in a similar situation, except the setting was a school and it had the resemblance to a school fete or parent/teacher evening . I was again a doctor and was asked a question about a rash on the face of a young boy. His father was waiting expectantly for my answer and I thought "These people think I am a doctor and do not have even the knowledge to answer this simple question" It seemed as though I had been given this title and responsibility without the training to accompany it. I prevaricated trying not to answer saying "mmm and mmmm and mmm" I was not prepared to give an answer though I was tempted to pretend that I knew what I was on about. I almost said "Scabies" but was not prepared to take the risk in case the father had a knowledge of scabies and said" I've had scabies, that's nothing like scabies". I felt quite a deal of discomfort in this situation and woke up shortly after . Pregnancy and labour often represent the birth of something within you, or something new (a project?) that you have responsibility for. As a "doctor" responsible for helping this "birth" the dream indicates that you may be feeling unprepared for this task - and you feel others may see this. The woman in labour appears to be ready to integrate masculine and feminine characteristics ("take a lover") of whatever the "birth" represents. The boy (immature male self?) has problems (dis-ease) facing something or perhaps is feeling wounded ("scab-ies"). [Can't get a sense of how all this may fit together - that is up to the dreamer.] |

I had another bizarre dream. In Hobart there were a group of teenage ambassadors (or something) speaking to the public (What about, I am not sure). Then a tank rolled up and aimed its cannon at each of the ambassadors, individually. But each stared back with a look of defiance. Then the tank blew away a kid. And then everyone started to react. "Teenage ambassadors" might symbolise some of the characteristics of being a teenager - finding independence, identity, meaning ... "Speaking to the public" might represent how these needs are expressed to others. |

My dream went something like this: There was this great wall of void going around as a tsunami and I was going around in a black cowl and wielding a scythe..... There was also an urgency to find my dad. "Dad" could represent your responsible side or some mature guidance. The "tsunami" could represent an inner feeling of being overwhelmed by something - emotions? -uncertainty? ("the wall of void"). |

An Arctic Wolf Bear chasing me. Wolves and bears can represent our animal instincts. "Arctic" could represent cold emotions or heartlessness. Are you being driven by lower instincts and emotions at times rather than by love or the higher mind? What are your ideals? What inspires you? |

I was at my boyfriends house at a party with my dad and all these old people, all the young people were up stairs playing pool. So i went up stairs and played a game of pool with myself, the house had turned into a pup by this stage. Anyway so I get talking to this hippie/feral chick and she asks me for a ciggerette I say no and she gets real offended she storms out going on about how she wants to bash me. I need to make a phone call so i go to the phone boxs and I see her but she's dressed as a bogan she stands in my way and trys to hit me, so i grab her arm in a hold that could snap her arm in two places. I wake up. This dream seems to be about your relationships and your motivation for doing things. The dream shows that you don't need to do what others demand of you - even if they seem threatening - because you have the power to say "no" and do your own thing ("played a game of pool by myself"). Are you finding others are "standing in your way" of your need to communicate ("need to make a phone call") who you really are and what you really want? The dream appears to be saying you do have the strength of character to stand up to others - to make their demands powerless or (h)armless! |

Every dream for the last month or 2 I have been in World war one or two, and I always wake up as i get stabbed or shot or gassed or blown up, often sweating. What does this mean? Too many violent videos before going to sleep? Do you feel as if you are in the wars? |

I had this dream that I was a slave and that the whole country had been taken over by communists overnight. They made everybody do lots of work, and I was in charge of building a huge pailing fence around the state, with concrete slabs underneath to stop people digging out. Three of us organised to escape, but when we went to get into the rowing boats we were going to leave in, there was only enough room for two of us in the boat. Someone had to stay behind and one of my friends decided she would because she was bigger than us. I felt really guilty, but I think I ended up going....... Are you feeling trapped? - (doing the work of others?) - with little chance of escape? Is the work of your own making ("I was in charge")? Will you feel guilty if you avoid the work? |

Each year, around august I have a dream that my home turns into a battle ground, and that people from our neighbourhood and friends are all characters in what seems like a play. What happens to you (around you) in August? Are people around you living life as a game - playing it over the top - liking confrontation? Or is this what you do? |

I keep dreaming about having sex with Bob Hawke. Its really wierd and I have it every thursday night. What on earth do you do on Thursdays! ? Having sex with someone often represents the desire/need to take on the characteristics of that person. |

I keep having this dream over and over again where a fire starts near my house and I can hear my parents screaming from the house. I always seem to get out of the fire, but nothing is left...I am alone. Fire might represent inner energy or danger. Your parents might represent your responsible side. Is the sensible part of you trying to get your attention about something? Your are not in danger ("I always seem to get out of the fire") but you may end up losing something or losing an opportunity. |

It's a recurring dream... I am about 10 years old and im walking along the street when I see a black sleek looking car. Somehow I know that there is a man inside the car that want to kill me so I run up the side of my house and hide in the garden. At the time I think iv'e found a really good place to hide but it's like the guy can see though the trees and stuff and he always finds me. As soon as our eyes meet I start to fall into a whirlpool of colours and then I wake up ! Any ideas ? Do you feel things are about to catch up with you? The man might represent your responsible side which you can't really hide from. Eyes 'windows into the soul' could represent honesty - with yourself? |
