1.3 Schools share a commitment with parents/guardians and the wider community to foster the intellectual, emotional, physical, social, cultural and spiritual growth of all students. Schools also have a responsibility to assist students in developing their capacity to exercise judgement in matters of ethics, morality and social justice.

2.7 Learning about relationships should take place in a caring, supportive environment where students feel comfortable discussing and sharing information. This enhances students' learning about themselves and others, as well as their physical, emotional, spiritual and socio-cultural growth.

6.4 (c) The spiritual dimension refers to an individual's capacity to reflect on the ultimate significance of life and to adopt and/or develop a meaningful set of beliefs, attitudes and values which influence behaviour.
